Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of zucasnacks.com and the waitlist. They are short because the site does one thing. By using the site you agree to them; if you do not, please do not use it.
1. What the waitlist is
Joining the waitlist is not a purchase. No payment is taken, no card details are collected, no order is created, and no contract of sale is formed. You are telling us you would like to be told when the product is available.
We will contact you when pre-orders open. At that point you can decide whether to buy. Nothing obliges you to, and nothing obliges us to have stock available, to offer any particular price, or to ship to your area.
Prices shown on this site are our current target prices for a future product. They are indicative and may change before anything goes on sale.
2. Accurate information
Please give us an email address you actually control. Signing others up without their permission, or submitting information you know to be false, is a misuse of the site.
3. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Submit the form automatically, at volume, or through any means other than the form itself.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or probe the site's rate limits, validation, or other protections.
- Attempt to gain access to any part of our systems, data, or accounts that is not public.
- Submit content designed to execute, inject, or exploit — including spreadsheet formulas, scripts, or markup.
- Scrape, frame, mirror, or republish the site or its contents.
- Impersonate Zuca, its founders, or anyone else.
We may block access, remove entries, and decline to serve anyone who does these things, without notice.
Genuine security research is welcome and is not a violation of these terms. If you find a vulnerability, tell us at privacy@zucasnacks.com before telling anyone else, do not access or alter data belonging to other people, and we will not pursue you.
4. Nutrition and health information
Zuca products are food, not medicine. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nothing we make is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Nutrition figures describe our target formulation and are subject to change and to normal manufacturing variation. The nutrition panel on the finished package is the accurate one. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are considering a significant change in dietary fiber, talk to your doctor — not to a website.
Allergens. Both flavors currently contain tree nuts — almonds and pecans. The recipe is not final: the nut base may change to sunflower butter, which would change that list. So the allergen statement here describes the current formulation, and the panel on the package you receive is the one to rely on — not this page, and not any earlier version of it. If you have a food allergy, read the label before eating anything.
We do not claim to be gluten-free. Both flavors are manufactured in a facility that also processes milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, crustacean shellfish, wheat, soy, and sesame, and we have not tested the product against a gluten threshold. If you avoid gluten, treat this product as unverified until the finished panel says otherwise.
There is added sugar — maple syrup is a sweetener and it is added. None of it is refined, which is a different statement and a smaller one. We will publish the figure when the finished label confirms it.
Statements about the product have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. References to physicians, universities, accelerators, law firms, or manufacturing partners describe people and organizations we work with. They are not endorsements of the product by those organizations, and they do not imply approval by any government agency.
5. Our content
The Zuca name, logo, text, photographs, and design on this site belong to us. You may link to the site and quote briefly from it with attribution. Everything else needs our written permission.
6. The site is provided as it is
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Zuca is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
These limits apply only so far as the law where you live permits. California law gives you rights these terms do not take away, and if you are a consumer in the EEA, Norway, or the UK, your national consumer-protection and product-liability law applies in full regardless of anything written here.
7. Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms; if a change materially affects people on the waitlist, we will email them.
9. Governing law and where disputes are heard
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
That paragraph does not apply to you if you are a consumer in the EEA, Norway, or the United Kingdom. We are saying so plainly rather than burying it, because a clause that tried to bind you to Californian courts would be unenforceable against you anyway — and under EU consumer law, writing one would itself be an unfair term.
If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, Norway, or the UK:
- You keep every protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country you live in, and nothing in these terms reduces it.
- You may bring proceedings against us in the courts of the country where you live, and we may bring proceedings against you only there.
- You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. In Norway you can go to the Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet).
